Itanagar: Security forces have arrested an NSCN(K-YA) militant in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh, a Defence spokesman said on Thursday.
Based on a specific input, security forces of Assam Rifles and Spear Corps in a joint operation with Arunachal Pradesh police apprehended the NSCN(K-YA) cadre from Pumao on Tuesday, Guwahati-based Defence PRO Lt Col P Khongsai said.
The arrested cadre was handed over to Longding police station for further action, he said.
The Defence PRO informed that the NSCN(K-YA) cadres have a previous court proclamation against his name.
