Imphal: Manipur reported no Covid related death yet another day, keeping up with the improving situation as far as the pandemic is concerned. In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, the state reported 7 (2 males, 5 females) positive cases from the general population and 2 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covie-19 common Control Room.
The 7 positive persons include 3 from Imphal West and 2 each from Imphal East and Bishnupur. The two persons who recovered were on Home Isolation.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,250 (General Population — 25,818 and Central Security Personnel — 3,432). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,836 (General Population — 25,419 and CAPF— 3,417 ). The number of active cases is 41 (general population 30 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.58 %.

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on February 22 is 1708 and the cumulative vaccination number is 43414.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 29666 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
