No death reported Saturday, recovery rate improves further to 98.25%

Imphal: The improving trend as far as Covid-19 pandemic in Manipur continues. There has been no report of any death in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

During the same period, 13 persons (5 males and 8 females) from the general Population and 2 personnel of Central Armed Police Forces tested Covid-19 positive. Out of the 13persons from the general population who tested positive, 4 each are from Imphal West and Kakching and 1 each from Imphal East, Thoubal, Churachandpur, Chandel and Kangpokpi. All the necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing have been put in place.

Meanwhile, 21 persons were discharged from Home Isolation and various CCCs of the state. 15 of those discharged are from Home Isolation, 3 from SHRI, 2 from RIMS and 1 from JNIMS..

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,052(General Population — 25,627 and Central Security Personnel — 3,425). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,545(General Population — 25, 135 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 136 (general population 125 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.25%, the release added.
