No death reported, 11 positive cases on Thursday in Manipur

Imphal: The Covid-19 pandemic in Manipur is holding steady as the last 24 hours leading up to Thursday saw no death and only 13 persons from the general population tested positive, as per an official press note from the Covid-10 Common Control Room.

The 13 persons from the general population who tested positive include 5 from Churachandpur, 3 from Thoubal and 1 each from Imphal West, Imphal East, bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati. Meanwhile, during the same period,11 persons recovered and were discharged. 9 of these from Home Isolation and 2 from Shija Hospital.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,099 (General Population — 25,674 and Central Security Personnel — 3,425). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,614 (General Population — 25, 204 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 113 (general population 102 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.33 %.

The press note also informed that 223 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday and that the cumulative no of people vaccinated so far is 6095 and the percentage of achievement upto February 4 is 57.54%.
