No death recorded Thursday in Manipur, recovery rate improves 98.19%

Imphal: Continuing with the trend of much improved situation concerning the Covid-19 situation, there was no report of any death in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

During the same period, 15 persons (5 males and 10 females) from the general Population tested Covid-19 positive. These include 6 from Tamenglong, 3 from Imphal East, 2 each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur and 1 each from Imphal West and Kakching. All the necessary medical precautionary measures  like containment and contact tracing have been put in place.

Meanwhile, 23 persons were discharged from Home Isolation and various CCCs of the state. 20 of those discharged are from Home Isolation, 2 from LANVA and 1 from SHRI.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,022 (General Population — 25,599 and Central Security Personnel — 3,423). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,499 (General Population — 25, 089 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 153 (general population 144 and CAPF 9). The recovery rate is 98.19 %, the release added.
