Imphal: For the second consecutive day, there was no report of any Covid related death in Manipur in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday. During the same period, 14persons tested coronavirus positive while nine persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 14 persons from the general population who tested positive, six of them are from Imphal West, two each from Bishnupur and Thoubal and one each from Imphal East, Kakching , tengnoupal and Ukhrul. Altogether, 1,291 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.1 %.
Meanwhile, nine persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from JNIMS, two from home isolation and one from CCCs. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.26 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,761 out of which 1,23,574 have recovered, leaving 185 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 28, 2021, is 3,621, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,05,164(1st dose 13,21,726, 2nd dose 9,83,438).
