Patna: Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday said people will defeat Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar who will forfeit his deposit whether he contests from the Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency or anywhere else.

Modi said here Kumar, dreaming to become the Prime Minister, was scared of the rapidly increasing mass base of the BJP and the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to such an extent that instead of contesting the Lok Sabha election from any of the parliamentary constituencies in Bihar, he was mulling over entering the electoral fray either from Phulpur or Mirzapur, the area of the dominance of the Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh.

Referring to the result of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, he said out of 40 Loksabha seats JD(U) bagged only 2, including a slender 8000-vote win from the Nalanda constituency

He claimed that BJP would win more than 35 Lok Sabha seats from Bihar in the next parliamentary elections.

The BJP MP said even after their aunt and nephew (Mayawati Akhilesh Yadav ) shook their hands, the BJP won 64 seats in the 2019 parliamentary elections in Uttar Pradesh. During the recent by-election, Samajwadi Party could not retain its Azamgarh and Rampur seats. Earlier Akhilesh and Rahul Gandhi could not check the victory “Rath” of the BJP even after they fought together.

Modi said Kumar, the leader of the party which could not open its account in the UP assembly election, would forfeit his deposit if he entered the electoral battle at the behest of the two young boys.
