Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ordered a thorough probe into alleged use of abusive language by Director General of Home Guards and Fire Services Sobha Ohatkar against Inspector General Vikas Vaibhav.

Kumar told media persons on Friday that he was informed about the incident yesterday and had ordered a thorough probe into it.

He had directed authorities to look into all aspects of the allegations and submit a report to him, Kumar added.

” One thing is clear and certain that any officer should not post tweet on social media relating to official matter”, Chief Minister said adding that such behaviour of an officer was a dirty act. If any officer had some grievances, he should place it on proper platform in the department and remedial action would be taken soon, he added.

Kumar, however maintained that it would not be proper for him to say something on the issue at this stage.

Wait for the inquiry report, he told media persons making queries in this regard.

As it is, IG Vikas Vaibhav of Home Guards and Fire Services had tweeted in midnight on Wednesday that he was being regularly abused by his boss, Sobha Ohatkar, DG of Home Guards and Fire Services.

Vibhav lamented that despite best efforts to discharge his responsibility properly, he was being regularly abused by ‘DG Madam’. He claimed that recording of some abusive remarks of ‘DG

Madam’ was available with him.

Meanwhile, DG Sobha Ohatkar has issued show cause notice to Vaibhav that why disciplinary action should not be taken against him for violation of service code by posting a tweet on social media against his superior.

Vaibhav has been given only 24 hours to reply the show cause notice.
