New Delhi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed a Supplementary Charge sheet against three men of proscribed organization Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) in the case of the alleged killing of Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a Shaurya Chakra Awardee in Tarn Taran last year.
NIA, in a statement, said it filed the supplementary charge sheet in the case related to the murder of Balwinder Singh Sandhu against Navpreet Singh alias Nav, Harbhinder Singh and Gurwinder Singh.
Singh was killed on October 16, 2020, at his residence-cum-school in Bhikhiwind, Tarn Taran district in Punjab. In this regard, a case was registered the same day at Bhikhiwind police station. NIA re-registered the case on January 26 this year. A charge sheet was earlier filed by NIA against eight accused on April 27, said NIA.
Investigation revealed that the three men against whom the charge sheet has been filed on Thursday were allegedly involved in conducting reconnaissance of the targeted person and organizing logistics and shelter for the shooters, said NIA.
