New Delhi: The anti-terror probe agency NIA on Wednesday said that it has filed a charge sheet before Dimapur Special Court against four accused persons of banned outfit the National Socialist Council of Nagaland(K-Yung Aung) in case of ambushing and killing two Assam Rifle personnel and causing injury to many.
The four terrorists namely, Yangang Konyak aka Mopa, Ahon Longphong aka Sangti, Hongo Konyak and aiwang Konyak under sections of IPC, Arms Act, Nagaland Security Regulation, UAPA act
The case was initially registered on May 25, 2019 at Tobu Police Station under Mon District in Nagaland relating to an ambush upon 40 Assam Rifles by NSCN (K- YA) terrorists on May 25 in the year 2019, killing of two Assam Rifles personnel and caused injuries to four others, an official release said.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over this case on December 12 in 2019 and started probe.
The NIA probe established the involvement of the above charge sheeted four accused persons along with other NSCN (K-YA) cadres in the ambush on Assam Rifles and filed a charge sheet with substantial evidence, an official in the agency said, adding that the further investigation in this case has been under progress.
