Imphal: Manipur Youth Affairs and Sports Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) leader Letpao Haokip on Wednesday joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the national capital.
BJP leader said the joining of Letpao as a member of NPP will strengthen the BJP. NPP with four MLAs is an alliance of the BJP.
Dy CM, Y Joykumar, is the other NPP minister in the N Biren Singh government.
Election for the Manipur Legislative Assembly is expected to be held early next year.
