Nagaland to observe 75th Anniversary of India’s Freedom

Kohima: The Government of Nagaland has constituted a committee led by the State Chief Secretary, to identify the themes and locations for holding events in the State and to decide the calendar of events from March 12 (the launch date of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav) onwards for commemorating the 75th Anniversary of India’s freedom in a befitting manner.

According to official sources Wednesday the Committee constitutes along with the Nagaland Director General of Police, Principal Secretary for Home; Nagaland Commissioner, Commissioner and Secretary of the Information and Public Relation; Commissioner and Secretary of the Art and Culture as the Member Secretary; Commissioner and Secretary for Youth Resources and Sports; Special Secretary of the School Education; Secretary for Higher and Technical Education; Principal Director of the School Education; Director of Higher Education; Director of Youth Resources and Sports and Director of Information and Public Relation, source said.
