Kohima: Following the sudden increase of COVID-19 cases in the state, the Nagaland Government has decided to revise Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) and impose night curfew, which is likely to take place on Saturday.
Official sources said that a meeting of the High Powered Committee (HPC) on COVID-19 which was chaired by the Chairman of HPC, the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio held at Police Complex at Chumoukedima on Friday discussed on the COVID-19 positivity rate which is above 0.50 per cent for two consecutive days till Friday and stood at 1.32 per cent created alarm among the public across the world.
HPC discussed the attainment of 100pc vaccination within a stipulated time.
However, HPC will have a meeting with the Health officials before implementing the new SOP on Saturday.
The District Task Forces would be asked to ensure adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour, particularly wearing of masks.
