Nagaland records 91 new COVID positive cases, 4 deaths

Among the 91 fresh COVID cases, 48 were recorded in Kohima, 20 in Dimapur, nine in Mokokchung, six in Tuensang, four in Zunheboto, three in Peren and one in Phek.

Kohima: Nagaland on Saturday recorded 91 new COVID cases, taking the total number of corona cases in the state to 24,850, authorities reported on Sunday.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin on Sunday, among the 91 fresh COVID cases, 48 were recorded in Kohima, 20 in Dimapur, nine in Mokokchung, six in Tuensang, four in Zunheboto, three in Peren and one in Phek.

Altogether 106 persons recovered from COVID on Saturday, of them 35 were in Dimapur, 31 from Mokokchung, 21 from Kohima, six from Peren, five from Phek, four from Mon, three from Tuensang and one from Longleng, thereby taking the total number of recoveries to 22,178 in the state.

According to the report, currently there are 1,487 active COVID-19 cases in the state, out of which 71 are in the COVID hospitals while 1,346 are under home isolation.

The report said, four deaths were reported in Dimapur and one each in Mokokchung and Phek, pushing the death toll to 487 in the state, including 14 non-COVID deaths but with COVID positivity, the report said.
