Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland yesterday increased to 80 new cases, which increased the total number of COVID -19 cases to 28,955 and with two more deaths, the toll rose to 593.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin Friday, among the 80 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from eight districts of Nagaland with, 29 cases reported in Dimapur, 21 cases in Kohima, 18 in Mokokchung, seven in Longleng, two in Peren, one in Kiphire, one in Wokha and one in Zunheboto, taking the total caseload to 28955.
On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, the recovery patients saw a rise with 82 new recoveries. With these, the total recoveries rose to 26,183 and the recovery rate is 90.39%. There are 1,347 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present, out of them 1,086 patients are asymptotic, 212 are with mild symptom, 19 are moderate with oxygen, 16 are severe with oxygen, five are critical in ICU without ventilator and nine are in ICU with ventilator.
With two more patients succumbed to the pandemic, one in Kohima and one in Dimapur, pushing the death toll to 593.
