Nagaland records 77 new COVID positive cases, 3 deaths

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland came down again and yesterday it has recorded 77 new cases, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 22,773.
According to an official report today that among the 77 fresh cases, 20 cases reported in Kohima, 17 in Dimapur, 17 in Zunheboto, 10 in Mokokchung, seven in Phek, two in Peren, two in Tuensang, one in Wokha and one on Mon.
A total of 160 more COVID positive patients recovered in Nagaland yesterday, with 101 in Dimapur, 18 in Kohima, 13 in Zunheboto, nine in Phek, eight in Tuensang, four in Mokokchung, three in Wokha, two in Longleng and two in Peren, the report said.
With these the total number of cases has now reached 22, 773, the active cases are now 4,819, a total of 16,974 people have been recovered so far and 175 persons are currently admitted in COVID Care Hospitals, while 4289 patients are under home isolation. In addition, three more patients succumbed to the infection in Dimapur and one in Zunheboto, taking the total death count to 426 out of which 14 were non-COVID deaths, but with COVID positivity, as on yesterday, the report said.
