Nagaland records 69 new Covid-19 cases

With a report of two more deaths in the state related to the pandemic in Dimapur, the death count remained at 707.

Kohima: The new infections of COVID-19 in Nagaland had a decrease from the previous day as it recorded 69 new cases, increasing the overall Coronavirus count in the state to 33,654, a state health bulletin said.

According to the official bulletin, out of 69 fresh COVID cases on Monday in Nagaland, 38 cases were reported in Dimapur, 15 cases in Kohima, six in Wokha, five in Mokokchung, three in Peren, one in Phek and one in Tuensang, taking the total caseload to 33654.

On the recovery front, a total of 30,919 people have recovery from the disease so far, including 57 in the last 24 hours, with a recovery rate of 91.87 per cent.

Out of the 693 active cases in the state, 598 are asymptomatic, 87 mild, five moderate on oxygen, one on ICU without ventilator and one in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, 501 patients from Dimapur, 115 from Kohima, 29 from Peren, 14 from Mokokchung, 20 from Wokha, six from Phek, three from Zunheboto, three from Mon, one from Kiphire and one from Tuensang, the bulletin said.
