Nagaland records 59 new COVID positive cases

With no death reported from any part of the state, the death toll remained at 608.

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland yesterday increased to 59 new cases, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases rose to 29, 390 and with no death, the toll remained at 608.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 59 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from nine districts of Nagaland with 19 cases in Mokokchung, 18 cases in Kohima, 13 in Dimapur, three in Kiphire, three in Phek, one in Mon, one in Peren and one in Wokha, taking the total caseload to 29390.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, altogether 89 patients were cured of the disease during the day, with 32 from Dimapur, 26 from Mokokchung, 16 from Kohima, six from Longleng, five from Zunheboto, two from Tuensang, one from Peren and one from Phek, the total recovered in the state 26915, with these advancing the recovery rate to 91.57 per cent from 91.33 per cent.

The state now has 1,024 active cases, of them 290 patients are asymptotic, 187 are with mild symptom, 24 are moderate with oxygen, 12 are severe with oxygen, four are critical in ICU without ventilator and seven are in ICU with the ventilator. With no death reported from any part of the state, the death toll remained at 608.
