Kohima: The state recorded 31 new covid cases in the past 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 31,547, Nagaland Health Department bulletin said on Saturday.
The state also witnessed one more death, increasing the death toll to 674.
According to the bulletin, among the 31 cases, the new cases were detected from two districts of Nagaland with 21 cases in Dimapur, five cases in Kohima, one in Mokokchung and one in Peren.
The 31 cases were detected out of 666 samples taken on Friday indicating a sample positivity rate of 4.65 per cent. Out of the new cases, 26 were from self-tests and random tests, even as the security force personnel accounted for four cases and one was from traced contacts, the bulletin stated.
On the recovery front, 28 patients were recovered in the state, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,625, with a recovery rate of 93.33 per cent.
