Nagaland records 30 fresh Covid-19 cases

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 30 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from four districts of Nagaland with 20 cases in Dimapur, four cases in Mokokchung, three in Kohima and three in Phek, taking the total caseload of infected persons to 31,295.

Kohima: The latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has increased to 30 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,295 so far and with no more death, the death toll remained static at 666.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 30 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from four districts of Nagaland with 20 cases in Dimapur, four cases in Mokokchung, three in Kohima and three in Phek, taking the total caseload of infected persons to 31,295. Out of which 13 cases were detected through traced contacts, 10 from self-tests and random tests, four from armed forces personnel and three from frontline workers,

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether a total of 23 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered yesterday, out of the 15 patients from Dimapur, four from Mokokchung, three from Kohima and three patients from Phek, with these the total number of recovery from COVID is 29,277, with a recovery rate of 93.08 per cent.

According to the bulletin, a total of 352 active cases were recorded, out of the 272 active cases are asymptomatic, 61 are said to be mild, five are moderate on oxygen, two have severe symptoms and are receiving oxygen support, two are admitted in the ICU without ventilators and four patients are on ventilators. With no more patients died from the pandemic, the death toll remained at 666, it said.
