Nagaland records 260 new COVID positive cases

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland gradually came to a decreasing order for the past few days and Wednesday it has recorded 260 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 20,795.

Nagaland Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said Wednesday that among the 260 fresh cases, the highest at 117 was reported in Dimapur, followed by 98 in Kohima, 15 in Mokokchung, 12 in Phek, eight in Zunheboto, five in Wokha, four in Kiphire and one in Peren.

In recoveries, a total of 131 more patients recovered in Nagaland today, which included 46 in Dimapur, 29 in Kohima, 14 in Zunheboto, 14 in Kiphire, 11 in Mokokchung, seven in Phek, five in Wokha, two in Mon, two in Peren and one in Longleng, Mr. Phom said.

With these, the total number of cases has now reached 20, 795, of which the active cases are 4923 and a total of 14, 929 people have recovered, while COVID related death toll rose to 315.
