Nagaland records 19 new COVID positive cases

Kohima: In the latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has increased to a single number to 19 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,997 so far and with no report of death in the pandemic, the death toll remained at 692.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 19 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from three districts of Nagaland, with 15 cases in Mokokchung, two cases in Dimapur and two in Tuensang, taking total caseload to 31997, with a positivity rate of 6.11 per cent out of 311 samples tested.

On the recovery of COVID-19, infected patients in the State 15 patients recovered yesterday and the recoveries were five from Dimapur, four from Kohima and four from Tuensang and 2 in Mokokchung, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,088 with a recovery rate of 94.04 per cent. Nagaland currently has now 167 active cases of COVID-19. With no more reports of the death of COVID patients, the death tally remained at 692 during the day, the bulletin said.
