Nagaland records 116 new COVID positive cases, 4 deaths

Following the death of four more patients, two in Kohima and one each in Dimapur and Mokokchung, the death toll rose to 445, the report said.

Kohima: Nagaland has recorded 116 fresh infections in the past 24 hours taking the state’s Covid-19 tally to 23,466, an official report said on Saturday.

Of the 116 fresh cases, Tuensang reported 34, kohima–26, Dimapur–19, Mokokchung–15, Phek–10, Zunheboto–5, Longleng-3, Mon–2, Peren–1 and one was registered Wokha.

Out of them, 69 traced featured by traced contact, 40 by self tests and random tests, five from returnee travelers and two from front-line workers from Tuensang yesterday. The report said there were 3,505 asymptomic cases, 170 are mild symptomic, 51 moderate on oxygen, 27 severe with oxygen, 18 in ICU without ventilation and six in ICU with ventilations.

In the recoveries, Nagaland yesterday recorded 209 of recovered COVID patients and with these total recovery cases in Nagaland rose to 18,587.

With these, the total number of COVID-19 infected cases has now reached 23,466, the active cases are now 3,777, a total of 18, 587 people have been recovered so far. Following the death of four more patients, two in Kohima and one each in Dimapur and Mokokchung, the death toll rose to 445, the report said.
