Nagaland records 106 new COVID cases, tally rises to 28,551

Altogether 75 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, of them 19 weer from Dimapur, five from Mokokchung, three from Peren, two in Phek and one in Longleng

Kohima: Nagaland on Sunday recorded 106 new cases, pushing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 28,551 and the death toll to 583.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin Sunday, among the 106 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from ten districts of Nagaland with 36 cases in Dimapur, 27 cases in Peren, 15 in Kohima, 12 in Mokokchung, five in Zunheboto, four in Wokha, three in Tuensang, two in Phek, one in Longleng and one in Mon, taking the total caseload to 28,551.

Altogether 75 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, of them 19 weer from Dimapur, five from Mokokchung, three from Peren, two in Phek and one in Longleng, taking to total recovery to 25,757 people. Nagaland has a total 1398 active cases, out of them 1132 patients are asymptotic, 212 are with the mild symptoms, 23 are moderate with oxygen, 16 are severe with oxygen, eight are critical in ICU without ventilator and seven are in ICU with a ventilator.

With one more patient succumbing to the virus the death toll rose to 583, the bulletin said.
