Kohima: The Kohima Police manning the Khuzama interstate check gate intercepted a truck bearing Nagaland registration number and after checking police recovered 95 cartons of illegally imported foreign cigarettes, estimated to be worth Rs. 1.5 crore.

According to a release issued by the PRO of DEF in Kohima informed that the truck was proceeding towards Dimapur from Manipur and in this connection two persons were arrested and the contrabands along with the vehicle were seized.

Accordingly, a case under COTPA 2003 has been registered at Khuzama Police Station for further investigation, the release said.
