Nagaland Governor meets with religious leaders

Governor Ravi met the leaders of Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Indigenous faiths and discussed the COVID-19 situation in the State.

Kohima: Nagaland Governor R.N. Ravi on Tuesday had an interaction-cum-consultative meeting with the leaders of various sections and faiths based organization of Nagaland on COVID-19 pandemic at Dr. Imkongliba Hall of Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

According to a release issued by the PRO of Raj Bhavan said that Governor Ravi met the leaders of Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist and Indigenous faiths and discussed the COVID-19 situation in the State.

He told the leaders that such an extraordinary situation calls for concerted efforts of every individual, every section of the society, every faith and every community. Ravi urged the faith leaders to rise up to the occasion and proactively make people more conscious for strict adherence to the COVID-19 appropriate protocols and encourage the eligible people for vaccination.

Governor Ravi thanked the leaders for their valuable suggestions and assured them to take up with the State Government for further action, the release said.
