Nagaland DC- Kiphire closes shops for 72 hours

Kohima: With the rise of COVID-19 positive cases in Kiphire district of Nagaland, the District Task Force of Kiphire has resolved to close all the shops in the District for 72 hours with effect from tomorrow.
Official sources informed that the Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire T. Wati Aier, who is also Chairman of DTF said that COVID positive case in the district was only four, but after random testings were conducted, nine more positive were detected.
The DC further said that only front line workers alone cannot fight against the pandemic but needs collective effort of all the citizens. The meeting also resolved to activate COVID Care Centre and institutional quarantine center at Kiphire and Pungro and screening center at
Anatongre, Longmatra and Yangzitong junctions.
The meeting also resolved that the trucks and other carrying commodities coming from other districts will be permitted for only 12 hours for unloading and are restricted to stay at Kiphire town. The house informed that materials for the oxygen plant have arrived at Kiphire and it will take a month for the plant to be functional, sources said.
