Kohima: Under Beti Bachao Beti Pahdao (BBBP), the Wokha District Administration and District Level Centre for Women-Mahila Shakti Kendra organized a blessing programme on Thursday at DBHSS youth centre Wokha, and distribution of encouragement gifts to girl students.
Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, while addressing the students, said educating them is empowering them to become good and responsible citizens, while wishing them luck for their coming examination he urged the students to be dedicated and sincere in their studies so that they can achieve their goals in life.
Women Secretary, Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Wokha, L. Meribeni Ngullie offered blessing prayers for the students. The Deputy Commissioner later handed gift packs to all the girl students appearing in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2022.
