Imphal: Manipur police arrested a motorcycle thief, Md Abdul Wahid, 27, son of Abdul Manal of Lilong Ushoipokpi Tharaorou Chingol, Thoubal district.
He was allegedly involved in stealing one KTM250 motorcycle in front of Khuman Lampak main stadium on March 22, 2023, during the match of the Hero Tri-Nation International Football Tournament.
The motorcycle was recovered on the same day from Lilong Kaleikhong area. The arrested person along with the recovered motorcycle has been handed over to Imphal West PS, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police.

A combined team of Chandel District Police, 8MR along with 15th AR COB destroyed 47 ( forty seven) acres of illegal poppy cultivation at Thingbaijao hill range and also burned down 58 huts used by the poppy cultivators on March 24, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police.
