MLA Dingo monitors Covid vaccination drive at Sekami constituency

Imphal: Sekmai Assembly constituency MLA H Dingo Friday closely monitored the Covid-19 vaccination drive being carried out in the constituency.

Covid vaccination was carried out at three centres including Sekmai Community Health Centre, Khurkhul Primary Health Centre and Phayeng Primary Health Centre where around 900 people registered themselves for vaccination. So far, around 4000 people have been vaccinated in these three centres, said Dingo, who is also a Co-Convenor, Covid-19 Joint Committee.  

Calling for inoculation of everybody in his constituency, the lawmaker said vaccination is the only way to overcome and defeat this dreaded pandemic.

“A lot more have come forward to vaccinate themselves especially during this second wave of Covid,” he added. 

He said that the state government has taken up various measures to control the spike in Covid cases and this can be successful only if the public follows the guidelines announced by the government. 

Earlier, MLA Dingo along with Deputy Speaker K Robindro Singh, DC Imphal West, SP Imphal West and SDO Lamsang visited State Covid Centre Lamboi Khongnangkhong, where he reviewed the present condition of the centre. The MLA also announced that he will dedicate and will be there whenever he is necessary for the people.
