Imphal: Sekmai Assembly constituency MLA H Dingo handed over ‘Sekmai Kanglatongbi Singlup Playground’ to the public Sunday, where he said will bring in a change in the mindset of the youth.

Stating that our present generation must cultivate a habit of creating more playgrounds, Dingo said this can save and protect our children from the scourge of drugs.

Dedicating the new playground, in which Dingo had contributed a large amount of money, the lawmaker hoped that this ‘Singlup Playground’ would be able to produce many international players.

Dingo also appealed to the people to join hands with the present BJP government led by N Biren Singh in its ongoing ‘war against drugs’. Let’s make Manipur a state free from drugs, he added.

The MLA, who is also a Convener of Covid-19 Joint Committee, informed that the new strain of the Coronavirus is out of control and is spreading fast across the country. Why is why, he said, now is the time for each and everyone to take high levels of precaution before it reaches Manipur.

Dingo requested people to wear masks and follow social distancing measures.

Earlier, while receiving the MLA, a large number of people who gathered at the playground shouted slogans for Dingo and pledged to support him in the coming general election.

H Sita Devi, wife of the MLA, Pradhan of Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat, ward members and village heads were present in the programme.
