Aizawl: Mizoram Transport Minister TJ Lalnuntluanga inaugurated a new building of the District Transport Office at Lawngtlai Tuesday.
The inaugural function was also attended by, Vice Chairman, Agriculture Development Board H. Biakzaua, MLA as a Guest of Honour; MLA, Vice Chairman, Road & Infrastructure Development Board H. Lalzirliana, and Chief Executive Member of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), Manghmung Chinzah,. Members of LADC, officials from Transport Department and other departments in the District also attended the function.
The function chaired by Director of Transport Department R. Lalrammawia, Additional DC Marilyn Rualzakhumthangi delivered a welcome speech. Executive Engineer, PWD Building Project Division, Lunglei R. Zirsangliana, gave a technical report and District Transport Officer B. Malsawmtluangi proposed a vote of thanks.
DTO office Lawngtlai was constructed with Rs 228 lakh from NEDP. The work was started on June 20, 2016 and completed on January 31, 2020. It has four storeys and its total plinth area measures 658.81 square metres.
