Mizoram: At least 10 were taken Kill after consuming a burger

Aizawl: At least 10 people have been taken sick and admitted at the District Hospital of Mizoram-Tripura-Bangladesh border Mamit district after consuming burger, state health department sources said on Sunday.
None of the sick people have died till date.
Officials said while 2 persons have been discharged, there are 8 people, including 7 women being treated at the Mamit district hospital as of Sunday while an unknown number of people are also being treated at home.
Those taken sick ate burgers at MM Café in Mamit on Friday and Saturday and complained of having stomach ache, vomit, diarrhea, body pain, high fever and dizziness within 15 hours. The patients include a 5-year-old boy, the officials said.
Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) officials at the Mamit Chief Medical Officer’s office collected the samples of the burger from the café including beef, chicken, cheese, bread and cream on Sunday. The samples were sent to the Department of Microbiology in the lone Zoram Medical College at Falkawn near Aizawl.
The samples will be tested at the laboratory of the Zoram Medical College on Monday.
