Bihar Legislative Council chairman hints at contesting LS poll from Sitamarhi

Patna: Chairman of Bihar Legislative Council Devesh Chandra Thakur, also a senior JD(U) leader, on Sunday dropped enough hints to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Sitamarhi seat.


He told media persons here that he was definitely making preparations to contest Lok Sabha elections from Sit He also claimed that he had got signal from party high command to contest from Sitamarhi seat in next Lok Sabha elections.


Responding to a query of media persons, Thakur said that Brahmans had extended their support to BJP, which helped the party in attaining the top position in the country.


Brahmans did not get any benefit from BJP, but they made it top in the country, he added.
