Imphal: Education, Fisheries and CADA Minister S. Rajen Singh Thursday said that everyone should get vaccinated for COVID-19 in order to defeat the surge of the pandemic.
He was speaking to mediapersons during a visit at Mayanglangjing Taning High School where a mass vaccination campaign is underway.
He said that the most challenging deed of an individual is to save life. Telecommunication has developed tremendously, but this medium of this communication is misused by many. Rumours are being spread about the COVID-19 pandemic frequently in social media, he added.
The Minister said the media has a big role in spreading the awareness of COVID and its appropriate behaviours. Immature persons sometimes create panic among the general masses by spreading wrong information about the disease. This he termed it as “very unfortunate for us”.
“We are preparing to fully vaccinate all those who are eligible to be vaccinated” Rajen said and appealed to the public to fully cooperate and come out to be a part of the ongoing mass vaccination.
