Shillong: Meghalaya reported more recoveries than fresh COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, as 307 people recovered from the viral infection.
The number of recovered cases in the state now stands as 74,018, while 136 new infections added the number of active cases to 1,929, health officials said.
On the other hand, the deaths of four COVID-19 positive persons, who had not been vaccinated against the virus increased the fatality figure to 1,333 in the state.
Meghalaya has so far registered 77,280 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
