Meeyamgi Numit & Hill Leaders Day organised in various districts of Manipur

Imphal: The District Hill Leaders & Meeyamgi Numit for the month of March 2023 was held at various district headquarters in Manipur on Friday.

In Bishnupur, the District Administration organized the monthly Meeyamgi Numit at the Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat. 

Deputy Commissioner Shri Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDOs and DLOs, heard the grievances of around 140 applicants pertaining to the CMHT Card, Labour Cards, Widow Pensions, Old Age Pensions, and Ration Cards, among others. He also distributed Ration Cards, Disability Certificates, Bank Pass Books, Wheelchairs and other devices on the occasion.

In Chandel district, the District Hill Leaders & Meeyamgi Numit multipurpose hall, mini-Secretariat, DC complex, Chandel.

As part of today’s programme an awareness programme on food fortification was organised at the venue by the department of food safety, Chandel. Speaking to the media persons, the District Food Safety Officer, Chandel, Brojendro, said that such awareness programmes will be organised in different parts of the district. Three (3) FSSAI registration certificates were also distributed to the FBS. 

The Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Chandel Md. Firoj Khan, gave away various items to beneficiaries under various schemes of different departments.

Meeyamgi Numit” (People’s Day) was successfully organised by the District Administration Thoubal today at the Counting Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex for  the month of March. DC Thoubal,  A. Subhash Singh, and District Level Officers’ heard various grievances and demands from the public. 

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner distributed tables and chairs for pre-primary students to five schools in the district under the NIPUN Bharat Mission. Three CMHT cards and five disability certificates were also distributed to the beneficiaries by the Deputy Commissioner. 

In Ukhrul, district administration organised the District Hill Leader’s Day and Miyamgi Numit at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul Saturday.

In the event, ADM Ukhrul, Chunglenmang distributed free school uniforms to 26 schools and white boards to 10 schools under the Education Department. He further handed water pump sets and accessories to 13 beneficiaries of PKMSY schemes under Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department and also 3 old age pension cards and 2 widow cards under the District Social welfare Department.

Meanwhile, the District Health Society issued 20 Birth & Death certificates and 1 PMJAY card. The District Social Welfare received 18 old age and old age home applications under MOAPS, CMST and CMWPS. CAF,PD also received 2 applications for NSFA ration cards. Veterinary &Animal Husbandry received 1 application for NLM scheme and Commerce & Industry received 6 applications for the MSME scheme. On the other side, the District Revenue department gave out 20 certificates of  Birth Order. The District Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit (People’s Day) in Churachanpur was organised by the District Administration  at Multipurpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong. 

The DC Churachandpur, Sharath Chandra Arroju, distributed 8 water pumps with micro-irrigation equipment from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, 29 Kgs of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (biofertilizers) to 8 beneficiaries from the District Agriculture Office, and school uniforms to three schools, apart from interacting with and addressing the different complaints of the public.

As a part of the program, 44 different government departments set up tables. Vaccination program and Health check-up counters were set up by Health Department. About 60 persons were provided free medical check-ups. 25 persons were given anti-rabies vaccination by Vety. & and the Animal Husbandry department.
