Chaibasa: Ultras belonging to the proscribed CPI Maoists created havoc in West Singhbhum districts of Jharkhand as they destroyed a panchayat bhawan and a culvert under two separate police station areas by executing IED blasts.
Police sources said that the Maoists carried out IED blast at Kadamdiha Panchayat Bhawan located under Goeilkera Police Station area while under Mufassil Police Station area a culvert located near Barkela village was destroyed by another IED blast by the Maoists.
Police said that both incidents took place well past midnight.
On Friday morning a large number of security personnel including CRPF and police teams from Goeilkera and Sonuwa Police Station reached the spot and started search and combing operations.
Additionally, police recovered pamphlets thrown by Maoists on the spot.
