Manipur’s positivity rate down to  4% Sunday

Two of the four deceased persons were from Imphal East while one each was from Churachandpur and Imphal West.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, Manipur reported four Covid—related deaths, 49 positive cases and 69 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Two of the four deceased persons were from Imphal East while one each was from Churachandpur and Imphal West.

All four who expired has co-morbidities; three of them had not taken any dose of Covid vaccine while one of them had taken the 2nd dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2100.

Of the 49 persons from the general population who tested positive, 21 are from Imphal West, nine Imphal East, four each from Churachandpur and Tamenglong, three each from Bishenpur and Ukhrul, two from Thoubal, one each from Tengnoupal, Kakching and Noney. Altogether 1,240 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 4. %

Meanwhile, 69 persons recovered and were discharged, 45 of them from home isolation, 12 from CCCs nine from RIMS and three from JNIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 97.98 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 433 out of which 1, 33, 674 have recovered leaving 659 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 19, 2022, is 5,729, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,67, 314 (1st dose 14,98, 338, 2nd dose 11,13, 550) and precautionary dose 55,426.
