Manipur’s Covid-19 situation continues to improve, no report of death on Sunday also

The number of active cases is 144(general population 133 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.22%

Imphal: For the second consecutive day there was no report of any death in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday in Manipur, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

During the same period, 16 persons (6 males and 10 females) from the general Population tested Covid-19 positive. Out of these 16 persons, 6 of them are from Churachandpur, 4 from Imphal East, 2 each from Bishnupur and Senapati and 1 each from Thoubal and Kakching. All the necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing have been put in place.

Meanwhile,8 persons were discharged after their recovery, 6 of them from Home Isolation and 1 each from JNIMS and DH Churachandpur.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,068(General Population — 25,643 and Central Security Personnel — 3,425). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,553 (General Population — 25, 143 and Central Security Personnel — 3,410). The number of active cases is 144(general population 133 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.22%, the release added.
