Imphal: Ahead of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election, Congress MLA, Dr Chaltonlien Amo of Tipaimukh Assembly constituency joined BJP on Sunday.
Chief Minister N Biren, BJP State Chief A Sharda, Bhupender Yadav, BJP State in charge and MoS Pratima Bhoumik were present at BJP office.
Sharda said the joining of Amo is a sign of trust in the proactive policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and N Biren Singh to develop Manipur and the entire NE Region.
Manipur will go to the polls on Feb 27 and Mar 3 next.
