Imphal: Manipur positivity rate is holding steady at 1 % while the active cases came down further to 313 In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday. During this period, the state reported one Covid related death, 20 new positive cases among the general population and 22 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who succumbed to Covid-19 was from Imphal West, he had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 1,993.
Of the 20 persons who tested positive from the general population, nine of them are from Imphal West, six from Imphal East, three from Bishnupur and one each from Churachandpur and Kakching.
Meanwhile, 22 persons recovered and were discharged, nine of them from home isolation, three from CCCs and 10 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.16 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,569 out of which 1,23,263 have recovered, leaving 313 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 14, 2021, is 4,771, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,47,868 (1st dose 13,05,316, 2nd dose 9,42,204).
