Imphal: In the last five hours leading up to 5 p.m. on Thursday in Manipur, there was no report of any positive cases, recoveries, and COVID-related deaths, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Altogether, 24 people were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 0%.
The cumulative numbers of positive cases in the state stand at 1, 39, 922.
On Tuesday, no one was released, and the number of active cases in the state remains zero.
As of December 28, 2022, 24 persons were vaccinated, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 32,65,933 (1st dose: 16,48,705, 2nd dose: 13,38,128 and precautionary dose 2,79,100).
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Manipur Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh visited various hospitals in Bishnupur district and checked the attendance registers of medical staff stationed in the district.
The minister visited the community health centre in Nambol, the primary health centre in Ningthoukhong, the PHC, Kwakta, and the community health centre in Moirang. The ministerial team also visited the district hospital in Bishnupur.
During his visit to Nambol, Minister Dr. S. Ranjan Singh inspected the present condition of the hospital, including the building and other infrastructure. The minister also interacted with the hospital staff and listened to their grievances. The Minister advised the officials and staff of the hospital to maintain all the records concerning treatment, medicine, machines, infrastructure, etc.
