Manipur reports just 2 deaths Sunday

The 2 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Churachandpur and Thoubal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,798. One of the deceased had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated.

Imphal: Manipur reported 2 Covid-19 related deaths, 322 new positive cases and 338 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 2 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Churachandpur and Thoubal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,798. One of the deceased had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated.

The 322 persons (160 males, 162 females) from the general population who tested positive include 100 from Imphal West,44 from Churachandpur, 42 from Imphal East, 32 from Noney, 28 from Kamjong, 25 from Bishnupur, 17 from Ukhrul, 14 from Thoubal, 6 Kakching, 5 from Tamenglong, 4 from Senapati, 3 from Chandel and 1 each from Kangpokpi and Pherzawl.

 Altogether, 3,491 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 9.2 %.

 Meanwhile, 338 persons were discharged which include 123 from home isolation, 113 from CCCs, 70 from CHICs, 24 from RIMS and 8 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.61 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,15,394 (General Population – 1, 11,264, Central Security Personnel – 4,135). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 10,341(General Population – 1, 06,243, Central Security Personnel – 4,098). The number of active cases is 3,260 (General Population – 3,228, Personnel – 32).

The total number of doses administered on September 4, 2021, is 6,338 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,60,441 (1st dose 11,93,720, 2nd dose 3,66,721)

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 5 is 528 out of which 434 are general beds while 94 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 5 is 3467 out of which 688 are occupied and 2779 are vacant.
