Manipur reports four deaths, 62 positive cases, 62 recoveries Saturday

The four deceased persons were from Imphal West, Kakching, Tamenglong and Bishnupur respectively.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, Manipur reported four Covid—related deaths, 62 positive cases and 62 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The four deceased persons were from Imphal West, Kakching, Tamenglong and Bishnupur respectively. Of the four who expired, three of them had co-morbidities; three of them had not taken any dose of C ovid vaccine while one of them had taken the 1st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2096.

Of the 62 persons from the general population who tested positive, 21 are from Imphal West, nine Imphal East, five each from Bishnupur and Senapati, four from Thoubal and Kangpokpi, three from Kakching, two each from Tamenglong, Tengnoupal, Ukhrul, Churachandpur and Chandel and one from Kamjong. Altogether 1,490 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 4.2 %

Meanwhile, 62 persons recovered and were discharged, 42 of them from home isolation, 13 from CCCs and seven from JNIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 97.96%. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 384 out of which 1, 33, 605 have recovered leaving 683 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 18, 2022, is 5,622, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,61, 272 (1st dose 14,96, 241, 2nd dose 12,10, 416) and precautionary dose 54,615.
