Manipur reports 9 deaths, 592 positive cases, 494 recoveries Wednesday

Any group/organization having 150 or more individuals may request SMD NHM or concerned DC for organizing a vaccination camp, as per a notification from the Home department issued on June 30, 2021

Imphal: Manipur saw 9 deaths, 592 positive cases and 494 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 9 persons who succumbed to Covid-19 on Saturday include 3 from Imphal East, 3 from Imphal West and 2from Bishnupur, and 1 from Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1150.

The 592 positive cases include 12 personnel of the Central Armed Police4 Force (CAPF) while 580 persons (321 males, 259 females) are from the general population. 202 who tested positive from the general population are from Imphal West, 112 from Imphal East, 59 from Thoubal, 56 each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur, 39 from Kakching, 17 from Chandel, 12 from Kamjong, 5 from Senapati, 3 from Tamenglong, 2 from Tengnoupal and 1 from Noney.

Meanwhile, 494 persons recovered which include 179 from CHCs, 120 from CCCs, 181 from Home Isolation, 28 from RIMs and 6 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 89.73%

The cumulative number of positive cases is 69,790 (General Population – 65,955 and Central Security Personnel – 3,835). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 62,628 (General Population – 58,852 and Central Security Personnel – 3,776). The number of active cases is 6,012 (General Population – 5,958 and Central Security Personnel – 54).

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1135D type Oxygen Cylinders and 404B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 471D type 96B type filled cylinders out of which  Bishnupur (100D, 2B), Chandel (34D, 8B), Churachandpur (77D, 0B), Senapati (46D, 0B), Thoubal (64D, 32B), Ukhrul (29D, 15B), Tamenglong (47D, 8B), Jiribam (43D, 12B), Moreh (73D, 7B), Kamjong (2D, 0B), Kakching (5D, 0B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 339D and 102B filled oxygen cylinders available Wednesday.

As per latest information, 15235 persons were vaccinated on June 29, 2021 out of which 47 are health workers. The cumulative number of vaccination is 6,47,832 (1st dose 5,63,662, 2nd dose 83,970).

The government is planning to relax the Covid-19 related restrictions in a safe and calibrated manner based on the number of vaccinated workers and socio-economic importance of the establishment. Therefore, the official release has requested all eligible workers and related individuals to get vaccinated at the earliest.
