Imphal: In yet another high, Manipur reported 665 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the active cases to 39,729.
Sixteen persons succumbed to the disease during the period. One 51 years (female, Imphal West), 74 years (female, !alpha! West), 72 years (male, Imphal West), 63 years (female, Churachandpur), 57 years (male, Churachandpur), 56 years (male, (Jkhrul), 63 years (male, Imphal East), 42 years (male, Senapati), 91 years (female, Imphal West), 66 years (male, Thoubal), 55 years (male, Imphal West), 72 years (male, (Imphal West), 92 years (male, Imphal West), 97 years (male, Imphal West), 60 years (female, Imphal West) and 77 years (female, Bishnupur) expired at Shija Hospital (3), DH Churachandpur (2), JNIMS (6) and RIMS (5) hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 578.
During the same period of 24 hours, 665 persons (336M, 329F) from general population and 12 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPE) were confirmed as new COVIDI9 positive cases.
The positive persons were tested at JNIMS (84), RIMS (29), Imphal East (17), Imphal West (62), Maipakpi (9), Mother’s Care (I), CMC (2). Hillside (3), Sielmat (I ), Samaritan (8), Gilead Health Care Centre (3), Raj Medicity (32), RD Wing (II), Christian Hospital (I), Advance Hospital (I), Asian Hospital (6), Peace Hospital (I), Jiven Hospital (14), Shija Hospital (77), Babina Diagnostics (113), Escent Diagnostics (25), Thoubal (26), Bishnupur (22), Kakching (55), Churachandpur (34), Chandel (4), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (12), Tengnoupal (l), Kangpokpi ( I7) and Kamjong (2).
The positive cases from general population are from Imphal East (159), Imphal West (263), Thoubal (33), Bishnupur (24), Kakching (71), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (70), Chandel (5), Senapati (5), Tamenglong (12), Tengnoupal (2), Kangpokpi (17) and Kamjong (2). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing arc in place.
A total number of 399 patients discharged. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 32.674 (General Population – 29.152 and Central Security Personnel – 3,522). The number of active cases is 6477 (General Population -6302 and Central Security Personnel – 175). The recovery rate is 82.24 %.
Meanwhile, a total of 1488 D type Oxygen Cylinder: and 568 B.type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
