Manipur reports 32 positive cases, 57 recoveries

During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, Manipur reported 32 positive cases57 recoveries. During the same period, there were no reports of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 32 persons who tested positive, 11 are from Imphal West, five from Thoubal, four from Imphal East two each from Kakching and Senapati and one each from Noney and Chandel. Altogether, 675 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.7 %.

Meanwhile, 57 persons recovered, 45 from home isolation, six from RIMS, four from SHRI and one each from Tamenglong and Chandel. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.16 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 213 out of which 1, 36,651 have recovered leaving 431 active cases in the state.

As on August 2, 2022, 134 D-type oxygen cylinders and 6 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 3 , 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 17 are occupied and 21 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 22 are occupied and 40 are vacant.
