Imphal: Manipur logged three more Covid-related deaths, 404 positive cases (392 general population 12 CAPF), and 122 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The three persons who expired are from Imphal West, Imphal East and Chandel respectively. All three of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the Ist dose of Covid vaccine while one had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death tool in the state now stands at 2022.
Of the 404 persons from the general population who tested positive, 138 are from Imphal West, 93 from Imphal East, 63 from Kangpokpi, 30 from Churachandpur, 17 from Kakching, 15 each from Thoubal and Bishnupur, eight from Chandel, five from Jiribam, four from Senapati, two from Tamenglong and one each from Tengnoupal and Ukhrul. Altogether, 2,230 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 18.1 %.
Meanwhile, 122 persons recovered and were discharged, 82 from home isolation, 32 from CCCs, seven from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.02 %
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 29,661 out of which 1,24,500 have recovered, leaving 3,199 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on January 21, 2022, is 7,864, the cumulative number of doses administered is 24,27,289 (1st dose 13,83,728, 2nd dose 10,30,181) and precautionary 13,380.
There is a total of 300 covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 35 are occupied while 265 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 45 are occupied and 145 are vacant.
