Manipur reports 3 deaths, 268 positive cases, 269 recoveries Wednesday

All the 3 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East. 2 of the 3 had co-morbidities while 1 had been vaccinated with the st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1.805.

Imphal: Manipur registered 3 Covid-19 related deaths, 268 new positive cases(258 general population 10 CAPF) and 269 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

All the 3 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East. 2 of the 3 had co-morbidities while 1 had been vaccinated with the st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1.805.   

The 258 persons (133 males, 125 females) from the general population who tested positive include 113 from Imphal West, 59 from Imphal East, 39 from Churachandpur, 10 from Ukhrul, 8 from Bishnupur, 7 from Chandel, 6 each from Kakching and Kamjong, 5 from Senapati, 4 each from Noney, Tamenglong and Thoubal and 2 from Pherzawl.

A total of 3,282 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 8.2%.

Of the 294 persons who were discharged,87 were from home isolation, 77 from CCCs, 81 from CHICs, 9 from RIMS and 15 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.72 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,16,134 (General Population – 1, 11,977, Central Security Personnel 4,157). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 11,165 (General Population – 1, 07,058, Central Security Personnel – 4,107). The number of active cases is 3,164 (General Population – 3,119, Personnel – 45).

The total number of doses administered on September 7, 2021, is 6,369 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,75,951 (1st dose 11,97,016, 2nd dose 3,78,935)

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 8 is 554 out of which 453 are general beds while 101 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 8 is 3467 out of which 698 are occupied and 2769 are vacant.
